Community Manager
ArenaNet is looking for a Community Manager who will work as part of an international team to foster and grow enthusiastic and passionate communities for Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. The Community Manager will act as the liaison between the development team and the online community of players.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interact with the community and communicate the needs of players to marketing and development
- Facilitate community awareness and understanding of recent developments and issues
- Write, edit, and post community content to web forums, the official web site, and other official channels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the international community management team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years experience working in community management, online journalism, marketing, or related field
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to collaboration and teamwork
- Strong sense of ownership and agency
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Passion for Guild Wars
- Enthusiasm for and deep knowledge of online gaming communities
- Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies a plus
